Mario Vaquerizo Caro (Madrid, 5 de julio de 1974) es un cantautor, periodista, escritor, mánager y personaje ocasional de radio y televisión español. Se hizo famoso con el reality show Alaska y Mario en MTV España. El reality mostraba su vida con su mujer, la cantante Alaska, con la que se casó en Las Vegas. También es conocido por sus apariciones en diferentes programas de radio y televisión españoles como El Hormiguero, El programa de Ana Rosa y yu: No te pierdas nada. Vaquerizo también fue la voz de Frankenstein en la película de animación Hotel Transylvania.
Vaquerizo ha trabajado como colaborador de los medios de comunicación en los periódicos españoles El País y La Razón, en revistas como Vanidad, Primera Línea, Rolling Stone, In Touch y en Canal+, un canal de cable premium francés. En 1999 comenzó a colaborar con el departamento de publicidad de la compañía discográfica Subterfuge.

Se llama Juan Pedro del Moral, pero todo el mundo lo conoce como JuanPe. Nosotros lo conocemos por ser miembro de las Nancys Rubias, un grupo español de pop, glam y electrónica; amigo íntimo de la también Nancy, Mario Vaquerizo; y modista de la cantante española Alaska (de Fangoria) desde los años 80. Muchos le conoceréis por su característico flequillo, sus tatuajes y, sobre todo, por sus apariciones en el reality show de la MTV protagonizado por sus famosos amigos, ‘Alaska y Mario’. Sus golpes de efecto le convirtieron en uno de los secundarios del reparto que robaba escenas cada vez que aparecía en pantalla. A sus 50 años, JuanPe sigue ejerciendo de DJ, y una vez al mes monta su propia fiesta en el Razzmatazz Pop Bar. Son sesiones para fans del rock y el pop en las que pincha lo que le apetece, desde David Bowie a Bauhaus o Britney Spears.

EL HORMIGUEROThe problem came with Mario Vaquerizo’s label: «Nancy Anorexic». It is true that Vaquerizo himself calls himself that way sometimes: that is how his name even appears in the Wikipedia profile of the group and with that name he recorded a video clip and sang with Fangoria, the group of his wife, Alaska.
EL HORMIGUEROSHowever, the label was not very welcome in the networks. Although the members of the group are comfortable with the appellation, perhaps the program should have been more restrained in using the word «anorexic» in a festive way.

Alaska’s husband (55) assures that he had never faced something similar: «When it is a person, as in my case, a very vital, very happy person, then the pain palliates you a lot and makes you change your way of being, which is what has happened to me. I have hernias… They are not affecting my spinal cord, which would be painful, but it is true that one of them has affected my nerve and has immobilized my left arm a little bit, and I am left-handed, so I am like crazy without being able to move, and even more as I am, I am like Chiquito, but even more so».
Eager to resume his normal life, Mario explained that this ailment has not been able to overcome him: «I’m fine, and as I say to myself, I’m a restless ladybug and nobody can do anything with me. Besides, I myself fight against this discomfort, what happens is that sometimes you have to listen to your body and put yourself in the hands of the best professionals and listen to them. What happens is that, well, it is true that you also rethink many things when you go through episodes of this type because permanent pain, continuous pain, undermines people a lot».
