The movie tells the story in an unusual way about how four people in the financial world were able to predict the collapse of the real estate sector long before the bubble that had been created in that sector in the United States burst. And they also took the risk of betting against the banks that were not seeing the problem because of the greed that was allowed by the fraudulent system that was allowed.
Although the film talks about a subject that is not of much interest to a large number of people, it is worth giving it a check to understand a little more, because the presentation given by director Adam McKay, will make us laugh through explanations, comic elements that could be part of a television series or documentary like The Office, or other series that maintain this format.

First it became obsessed with releasing «Tenet» on the big screen in the summer of 2020 when most of the world’s movie theaters were closed or under severe capacity limitations and the rest of the studios were looking the other way by delaying all their releases or resorting to the digital market. Warner Bros.’ gamble backfired and Christopher Nolan’s film only grossed $367 million, but the Burbank (USA) studio continued to take risky steps and in December 2020 announced that all of its 2021 films would be released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max.

The big short describes several of the key factors in the creation of the credit default swap in the market, which sought to bet against the collateralized debt obligation (CDO), and ended up taking advantage of the financial crisis of 2007-2010. The book also highlights the eccentric nature of the type of person who bets against the market or goes against the grain.
The book follows people who believed the bubble would burst, such as Meredith Whitney, who predicted the demise of Citigroup and Bear Stearns; Steve Eisman, a hedge fund manager; Greg Lippmann, a trader at Deutsche Bank; Eugene Xu, a quantitative analyst who created the first CDO market by matching buyers and sellers; the founders of Cornwall Capital, who started a hedge fund in their garage with $110,000 and grew to $120 million when the market collapsed; and Dr. Michael Burry, a former neurologist who created Scion Capital despite suffering from blindness in one eye and Asperger’s Syndrome.[3] The fund was founded by Dr. Michael Burry.
