In 1975, Queen records their album A Night at the Opera, but decide to dump EMI executive Ray Foster when he refuses to release the six-minute song «Bohemian Rhapsody» as the album’s first single. Freddie has Capital Radio DJ Kenny Everett debut the song by playing it on the air. Despite mixed reviews, «Bohemian Rhapsody» becomes a massive hit. Shortly after giving Mary an engagement ring, they end their relationship when Freddie reveals to her that he is bisexual. He begins a romantic and working relationship with Paul Prenter, the band’s second manager.
